Well, tonight we spend our final night in a hotel room. (Tomorrow night we catch a red-eye and in theory will be sleeping on the plane on the way home, I suspect we'll actually be sleeping most of Sunday until Meghan comes home.)
Last night we went up the Eiffel Tower, had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and then went to see the Cirque du Soleil show Zumanity. The Eiffel Tower was kinda' neat, but we rushed a little in order to make sure we had time to do other things. We were also a little surprised at how many other people were up there at the same time (I suppose we should have known though...) Here's Marcie at the top of the tower.

The meal at the Rainforest Cafe was good, but we had the most disinterested waiter ever! Oh well, I saved some money on the tip anyway... Finally, we went to the Zumanity show, and that was the best part of the week so far. It was an amazing combination of humour, music and the Cirque's special acrobatic abilities. We both loved it and would recommend it to anyone! Our seats were excellent, and although several people around us got hauled into the show, we thankfully were left to watch... The best was a Japanese tourist sitting behind us who was taken up on stage, blindfolded and tied to a target board with balloons all around him. Meanwhile two characters were pretending as though they were going to pop the balloons by throwing knives at them. Once he was blindfolded, a third characters manually placed a knife through the balloons. The poor guy was pretty scared I think, but when he came back to his seat afterwards, he seemed to have recovered. They took him backstage for a while, so I suspect he was probably presented with something nice for his suffering...
Today we drove to the Grand Canyon where we're staying tonight. Along the way, we drove past Lake Mead and over the Hoover Dam. We got here in time to quickly go in and get our first look of the Canyon. Pictures to follow...
Tomorrow, we'll hopefully go for a small hike in or around the canyon, before we head back to Vegas and start to make our way home.
