Ongoing Rennovations
After three weeks (four weekends), the enhancements are beginning to look like improvements rather than messes that even I'd get scolded for.
Two weekends ago I returned home from visiting Grandma and Grandpa to fin
Daddy's been busy too. He's building really great book cases for me to put my toys in. Now I can easily find the toy I'm looking for without having to empty out all my toy boxes first. For some reason this makes Mommy happy too. Below is a picture of what they look like now. Good job so far Daddy!
For Schwindt Blog news, this is Meghan signing off.

February in Review
These were Meghan's fav's this month:
Colour: pink
Word: Oh Oh! (new words spoken this month include apple, banana, open, birdie, go, town, and Gracka (translation: grandma or grandpa); mommy and daddy are both still dada)
Toy: ball (although it's hard to tell because she plays with every toy (even the ones Mommy and Daddy try to hide) and reads every book every day)
Item of Clothing: still her rubber boots; her new crocs are a close second

Snow Day!
This week Meghan had her first real taste of snow. She begged Daddy to take her outside from the second she got up that morning. Eventually, he gave in.
When she first got outside, she wasn't too sure. She thought perhaps she had made a mistake. After several assurances and a couple of snowballs, Meghan was brave enough to venture out further onto the deck.

Since Meghan was intrigued by the snowballs, Daddy tried to introduce Meghan to snow angels. She wasn't really a fan, but did enjoy being in the snow.

Next Daddy tried to make a snowman and a snow castle but this just wasn't packing snow. Instead he tried a Meghan sculpture. Meghan was amused but still wasn't feeling love for the snow.

Finally Daddy was able to make her smile when he fell down on his bum and didn't get hurt.

Some Christmas Pics
Christmas #2 for Meghan is now over, and although she's still not entirely familiar with Santa Claus, she's certainly getting a taste for this Christmas thing...

Christmas Came Early!
Meghan had a visit from the Sault Ste. Marie Santa Claus last weekend, a full two weeks early! Just before departing with Mommy for a week in the Sault, she got to try out her new bistro set. (Daddy's a bit jealous since he doesn't have anywhere near as nice a barbecue area...)

Lack of Fashion Sense? Just Like Daddy...
Just a quick post (hopefully Mike sees this and it puts a little smile on his face... Especially after reading his last blog posting.)I didn't pose her, really! She's been oddly sick the last couple of days with a fever that's run as high as 100.6 and nights that have been full of coughing fits. What's odd about that you might ask? Well this has occurred at the same time as she's had full recovery of her energy level from her last bout with whooping cough, so she is physically sick, but isn't really showing all of the symptoms.
In other news, Meghan has pretty much decided that she's too big for the high chair (not sure that Marcie and I agree yet, but it's fun to watch her try to eat at the table.)

Day Off = Library with Meghan
For the first time in a while I had a Monday off today (Remembrance Day) and as a result was able to accompany Meghan and Marcie on their weekly visit to the library. This was also Meghan's first time out with other kids after her whooping cough diagnosis. She is now feeling much better after her last bout of antibiotics as well as some good nights of sleep aided by her puffer.
Well, at the library, Meghan got to do finger painting, showed off her "patience" and also selected a bunch of new books, CD's and DVD's for this week. She also played with the toys and had lots of fun running around and keeping Mommy and Daddy on the move. (I think I've now fully recovered from the head-butt to the mouth which I thought was going to result in a fat lip for me...)
I did find time to take two pictures...
