Now that Meghan's old enough to understand what's happening, I've had so much fun putting together April Fool's cuisine for her today.
For lunch I sent baby carrot sticks in a resealed Cheetos bag, put a gummy worm in her apple, and disguised a piece of cake as sushi. We had sushi for dinner last weekend and she hated it so it'll be interesting to see if she even tried the cake.
For tonight's dessert, I made spaghetti and meatball cupcakes. The full recipe is here if you'd like to make them yourself. They were fast and simple to make. The real trick will be getting them to Exeter undamaged...
...and they made to Exeter and were absolutely delicious! Meghan was pretty excited about her April Fools and had to tell our waitress at Eddingtons all about it.
