A different type of baby picture...

For those expecting more Meghan pictures, sorry, but we're going to take a quick break to bring you a picture of a tiny watermelon. As a frame of reference, that's a loonie beside it. This year Marcie and I grew our first garden with no real expectations of success, but so far we've harvested several meals worth of snow peas and green beans, Meghan's been picking tomatoes for a couple of weeks now (the last couple of days she's even picking ripe ones!) and we have a small number of peppers ready for picking (we'd likely have more if I had realized how big the tomatoes were going to get an had planted them farther apart...) Now, back to our regular Meghan pictures with the next posting, I promise...

Our New Deck

After several weeks of blood, sweat, and tears (only when David accidently elbowed me in the eye) , our Deck is finally finished! Thank you Schwindt family for all your help. We couldn't have done it without you.

Vacation in the Soo

Recently we returned home from our yearly "vacation" in the Soo (Sault Ste Marie for those not from there and unfamiliar with the lingo). It seems that after Meghan's 1st birthday, Mommy and Daddy aren't so quick with the camera so we're lacking in photos for this post.

This, like all trips to the Soo, was an eventful one. We started our vacation by attending the O'Toole wedding. Congrats Bryan and Heather! Also special thanks to my Nana and Popa for flying in from Calgary to watch Meghan during the wedding.

The picture above is of the first of 2 trips to my parents' camp (translation: cottage). Meghan loved the boat and loved steering it. She practiced the night before on the fire truck at the mall, but she still kept going too far to the right. Good thing we didn't need a designated driver!

The second trip out to camp was for Christmas in July with my dad's family. It was a lot of fun, unfortunately, the only pictures I have are of Meghan playing in the water with David.
